There is a process in place to check the quality of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) delivered within Wolverhampton.
The quality assurance criteria and responsibilities are regularly reviewed to ensure the process is effective. Lessons learnt are shared with all involved with the EHCP process, and as a result improvements are made.
The quality assurance process provides a structure through which managers, leaders, partners and stakeholders can analyse the quality of EHCP planning, support and compliance with statutory guidelines within the SEND Code of Practice, so that children and young people with SEND in Wolverhampton can achieve positive outcomes and pursue their aspirations successfully.
This process takes place on a termly basis and findings and themes are fed back to Wolverhampton SEND & Inclusion Partnership Board.
A quality assurance framework for wider SEND is currently in development.
Any comments, contributions or queries regarding quality assurance in SEND are welcome and you can email SENDQA@wolverhampton.gov.uk
